La Vie en Rose and Gypsy Jazz

In 2013 Rebecca began a new venture into the world of Gypsy Jazz and Improvisation. It was not without struggles or frustrations, having come from the traditional classical training but it has been entremly rewarding and she wishes she'd started sooner.

La Vie en Rose has been playing together for 10 years. Performances have included: Upton Jazz Festival, Lyme Regis Jazz and Blues Festival and The Royal Albert Hall. www.lavieenrosegypsyjazz.com (Videos found here)

Rebecca also teamed up with David Jones to host a monthly Gypsy Jazz session which currently meets on the last Wednesday of the month at Topsham Brewery.

Obligato String Quartet

The Obligato String Quartet in 2008 with Rebecca's sister and some friends and is now a busy professional ensemble which has played for many weddings and events as well as recording string parts for bands.

The Orchard Cafe Quartet

​The Orchard Cafe String Quartet was formed in 2021. They were brought together by a love of folk music and the need to play music after 2020. Their music is based on a number of Nordic and Scottish folk tune arrangements as well as original compositions and arrangements. 

EMG Symphony Orchestra

Rebecca has been regular member of DPO's viola section although she does not play with them every term. She also played the solo piano part in De Falla's Nights in the Gardens of Spain in 2013. In more recent years she has sometime been spotted in the percussion section.
